Birthday card for Karen

As you can tell I have fallen in love with this shape of card... This card is a 5 inch white square, the stamp is by "Printworks" and called "Star Cupcake" says it all really!! The papers are by "Basic Grey" unfortunately all my papers are now in a storage box and not in the original "outsides" so don't know which design, sorry!!! The cake is coloured using "Pro-markers". Love it.....

Even more Christmas Cards

I still trying.....

More Christmas cards

Have been making Christmas cards but for some reason have been unable to post them on the blog????So, whilst it is behaving itself here are a couple......

Carols Sketch Fun Challenge

The Stamps are by kars, "Ollyfant" stamps and the CD Rom is "Deck the Halls" by "Colour my world" The ribbon is a small piece from stash so can't remember where I got it from!!! (senior moment!!)(and I'm having a few of those recently!!)I love the Christmasy colours!!I coloured the picture using "Pro-markers" (great aren't they???)Going to Ali Pali tomorrow so hoping to get a few more!!! YEYH!!!

More Christmas cards

I have had a great time recently making more Christmas cards, and as you can see from the pictures I have picked up a card design from Carol over at Carols Paperplayce. the first card was done using the "Cuttle Bug" folder "Swiss dots" the basic card is 5 x 5 inch square and "Pro marker pens" a small amount of paper from the stash and I think this is a really fun card.

Father-in Laws Christmas Card

Another card!!!! I made an 8inch white card. Printed out the Mistletoe papers from the Joanna Sheens CD rom "The Jayne Netley Mayhew Collection" a piece of silver Mirri Board and some silver ribbon from stash. I hoped it would not be too girly, as he's a man on his own he really does not like cutie cards, so thought this fitted the bill exactly!!!I decoupaged the mistletoe on the main picture and glazed the berries to show them off, really like this picture and papers, shall use it again I think!!

Anniversary Card

My sister in laws Anniversary is at the end of October But seeing as I'll be away from the 28th of this month to the 15th of next I thought I'd get ahead of myself and make her anniversary card. I made it very much like the last card, only I added a few paper flowers to make a bouquet.I am really sorry about the quality of the photo I'm really rubbish at getting the detail on the picture, the background is emossed using the "Hearts" embossing folder by "Cuttlebug" but it is really hard to see here.

Play time

I have been really busy playing at making cards. On Thursday my friend Sue came by and we played very nicely all day making cards. These Polar Bear stamps are hers but I couldn't help but stamp a few whilst she was here. The background is embossed with the "Cuttle Bug" and the "Snowflakes" embossing folder. A little silver spray on the mount to make it look frosty and the edges punched using a Fiskers punch. Simple!!!

Christmas cards for the Littlies.

Each year I make cards for all the littlies I know. Most of them are around 2 - 3 years old, so this year I'm going with a snow scene. This one is made using "Penny Black" christmas stamps. the card is folded to look like hills and the little characters coloured glittered and arranged over the three "hills"! What do you think about this design, please let me know as I love to receive your views. Well off to see what mischief Ziggy has got himself into whilst I've been writting all this.

Why we've been sooo busy

This is Ziggy, my daughters Sheba (not sure if thats how to spell the breed???) My daughter has been taken off to Brittany for two weeks, so we are looking after Ziggy!! Never having had a dog in my life I find it tiring but fascinating. He is georgious though, he's 6 months old, will not go into his puppy crate at night loves to go for walks and eating tissues!!!

My Daughters Xmas card

I have been busy again making my daughters Christmas card. It seemed to take ages. First I stamped and coloured all 12 days of Christmas, then cut them out and make a concertina card, Made thee into a little book and made a box to put it in. I like it, hope she does after all that work!!!

Pink Elephant Challenge

Well, after making a Christmas Card the logical card to make is a "Summer" card. Had a look on "Pink Elephant" to see what their challenge is and made this card using another stamp I got at the Stamarama, It's a Sarh Kay, can't tell you if she has a name as I can't find the wrapper under all the bits of paper on the desk, but I'm pleased with the effect, and the stamp is soo clear. What do you think? I coloured it using the Pro Markers again, they are definitely different to using water colour and a Koi pen!! But again I'm pleased with the results. The paper is Basic Grey "Two Scoops" I think, as most of my papers are out of the books now as I keep trying them against cards etc, then I just put them in a box, all mixed up!! Oh dear one day I'll surprise myself and put everything away properly!!

Christmas Card

Well after a busy weekend visiting an old work mate (and having a great time)I sat down tonight and made a couple of cards (I was getting withdrawal symptoms!!)So the first one is a "Christmas Card" Oh no it's that time of year again!! But I really enjoyed this one. I used a couple of stamps I bought at the Stevenage Stamarama. The main stamp is a Penny Black coloured with my new Pro Markers (Whoo Hoo!!!) and the Boarder is made using a corner stamp by Clear Impressions. A bit of ribbon from the stash, glase on the baubles and decoupaged the mouse. The " We wish you a Merry Christmas" is also a Penny Black that I got my hands on last year!!

I used a white 5inch square card (Think they are my favourites at the moment!!) stamped a bauble in gold and embossed with "Gold twinkle" Embossed 2 pieces of white card with cuttlebug folders (sure you know which ones!!) then mounted on gold mirri! Cut out a few gold snowflakes and felt really pleased with myself!! LOL Hope you like.

Funky Hand Challenge

Did you know that "Funky Hand" have just started a new challenge blog, it's name is "getfunkychallenge". The first one is on now, and to help you along Anice has made available some free downloads!!! They are great!! The colours are out of this world. The prize is £20 of goodies from Funky Hand.Follow the link on my left hand bar.
So I have downloaded the freebies, and attempted to do the sketch justice?
The ice cream is done using a sizzix die on the Cuttlebug, and the sentiment is just text on the computer printed onto Folex "sticky Jet" this mean that I can make my own sentiments and then just stick them on, and they are on clear film so the backgrounds show through!!! neat huh!!

Papercrafts*byrach blog candy

Wow!!!! have just been on to Papercrafts*byrach and seen these great punches up as Blog Candy!! Now I have to find something else to cross.LOL!!!!! Visit her blog, she has the most georgious cards on there. Just wish I could colour mine as well!!

I made this card using a 5inch square white card. 6 pieces of Christmas paper left from last year by "Basic Grey" a "Penny Black Stamp"coloured with "Marvey La Plumb"pens and a water brush an oval of mirri board cut using my Cuttle bug. A small piece of Burgundy ribbon from stash and "Voila"(hope that's spelt right LOL)

Card for Lewis

Hi all, I have been a really bad blogger for over a month now, but in my defence I have been to my little house in Spain! The weather over there has been soo hot!!! But anyway I'm back now and can't wait to get card making again. This is one I made today for my neighbours grandson Lewis. He will be 2 years old in a couple of days, and like most small boys he loves trucks, vans , bikes etc. so I'm hoping he likes this fire engine.
I cut a piece of white card 12in. x 8in and folded a third over. The image is from a CD rom that my husband bought for me years ago. I printed 4 copies and decoupaged it. Mounted on silver mirri card from stash, and red card from stash. Added 3 eyeletts and a message printed on the computer. Nice and bright don't you think??? The inside is done on the computer using the same image.

Wedding card

Well, someone asked me today if I'd make them a wedding card, but to keep it simple? This is the result and I'm really pleased with it! The picture doesn't show the swirls of glitter too much but I was really pleased, and so was she! It is an A4 white card, the pink swirls I did on the computer, the glitter was with a swirl stamp by basic grey and glamour dust, 7 white jewels from stash and a small piece of white and pink ribbon from stash. The writing I did on the computer and cut it out with a craft knife, tied the white ribbon around the join of the "O" and the "W", and sat back and felt really happy with myself!! The insert had the same pink swirls and a personal message. WOW isn't craft great!!!LOL

Carol's Sketch Fun Challenge

Have you all been across to Carol's new Challenge blog??? If no, then why not? This is her challenge this week with some fab prizes, so really worth having a go. This is my entry done with another of the new "Fairy Doodles" stamps I think they are great! and really easy to colour! I coloured this little "Plantpot fairy" (that's not really her name!) with Marvey La Plumbe pens and a couple of "Sakura Pens and then glittered over while they were wet (on her wings etc.)The pretty daisy paper is one from the "Joanna Sheen" "Baby Love" CD. and the rest is bits from the stash. I love the design, really makes "Plant pot fairy" stand out don't you think? So click on the link to Carol's new blog on the right of this page and have a go....

Oh no! the dreaded men's cards!!!

Today I have had to make not one, not two but three men's cards! As you will know if you have been here before I hate making for men, i never know what to do. So this time as I have just purchased a "Joanna Sheen" CD Rom by Jayne Netley Mayhew (an artist who specialises in wild life) I thought I'd try it out! The "Tiger" card is for one of my brothers in law. I simply could not give him another car or bike card, so I did the tiger!! the Mere Cat card is for my other brother in law, who again I usually make a rugby card for but he loves "Mere cats" so I thought this would be good, and last but not least is a "Golf card" for my Father in law. He's 86 years young and still plays golf twice a week, so it really couldn't be anything else for him could it??

Papermania stamping for men

Whoo hoo!!! I've finally got my hands on the new Papermania "Stamping for Men" set of clear stamps. So last night I sat down and made this card. It's a white 5 x 5 inch square card, I used a square of "Basic Grey" "Archaic" paper (thought it looked a little like water). Stamped the fisherman (there is a fisherman, a golfer and a handyman, with sentiments and birthday beer stamps as well) coloured him with Marvey Le Plumb pens and then did the faux stitching I tried on the last card. One of the stamps is a small fish, so repeat stamped this at the bottom of the card to show the ones that got away, added the "Gone fishing again..." sentiment. Glazed the fisg and there we are. later today (after I've been to the local market I'll try the other stamps but if they are anything like this one it will be good fun!!!

Time to Craft Challenge

Have you seen the challenge over at "My Time to Craft" the sketch looks like this
This is my interpretation, I used the stamp I got from the "Stamparama" at Stevenage, its a "Penny Black" (love those stamps), coloured it with "Sakura" and a koi brush. Added a little glitter to the centres of the tulips, the papers are "Basic Grey ""Cupcake" love the bright Spring colours!!! Especially in this damp weather we are having!!! Where is the sun!!!! the "Stitching" has been done by paper pricking and drawing around with a felt tip pen, a small piece of ribbon and a hand made sentiment label!! and this is the end result!!!

Pink Elephant Challenge

While making the charity cards I popped over to Carols Paperplayce and saw that she was the designer for this weeks "Pink Elephant Challenge so whilst the dinning room is in a mess with paper etc. etc. etc. (do you end up in a mess as well), I thought I'd have a go! so this is my interpretation of Carol's sketch!!The stamp is by "Penny Black" coloured with Pens, the backing is done on the cuttlebug and then 3 small Pink/green gems and some pink chiffon and velvet ribbon from stash. Hope I've done it justice!!!

More "Charity Cards"

This morning I thought I'd make another couple of charity cards. Having just looked at them again I'm about to put a little bit of ribbon on them. but otherwise they are finished. Hope the Cancer care raise some pennies from them. The Teddy and the lamb are from die cuts done on the "Cuttlebug". and the papers are from a CD by Joanna Sheene (Baby Love)

Marie Curie Create a Card for Cancer Care

The Marie Curie Create a Card for Cancer Care campaign has started so I have made them a couple of cards. All they ask is that the card will fit into a C6 clear envelope for sale. Then they sell the cards donated and all money goes to fund a Marie Curie Nurse. Last year they funded 4,900 hours of home nursing care. The characters on the front of these cards were free stickers on the front of Do crafts Creativity magazine, so I thought I'd use them.Their names are Daisy and Dandelion, chute eh?? I am in the process of making more of these charity cards so will let you see them when I've finished.
